Safety first. DIY second.
“The Kitemark is the worlds [sic] premier symbol of trust, integrity and quality.”
Sitting at the back of the bus - which has very much become a normal thing - I noticed a Kitemark on the emergency exit’s window.
This got me thinking: Any munchkin can whack on a sticker that says “This door has been approved.” But how do we actually know it has been approved? I mean, we’ve all seen home made video covers with dodgy DIY BBFC film certificates.
Now, it’s probably illegal to stamp these symbols on anything if the item hasn’t been certified. But that’s not to say it can’t be done. So from now on, trust nothing.
