Out in force
Monday, August 29th, 2005 at 2:27 pmThree episodes of The Bill this week. Yey me.
Seasons in the sun
Sunday, August 28th, 2005 at 6:48 pmWhat a fine treat for a Sunday. Yes, I am talking about Hallmark Channel airing four Columbo films back to back today.
To think I was only flicking through channels when I made this discovery - and just as the first film was starting too.
Ouroboros
Saturday, August 27th, 2005 at 8:58 pmI started work on my new Red Dwarf site in the early hours of this morning and got the bulk of it done. It’s my best site design to date and I’m really pleased with how it works. But the name is holding up production now, as I really can’t think of one.
Argh!
Just relax, relax, relax, relax…
The windmills of your mind
Friday, August 26th, 2005 at 11:04 pmI am currently listening to the 1999 remake of The Thomas Crown Affair on BBC One. The broadcast keeps switching to BBC Two’s Newsnight signal then back to the film again.
It’s quite funny actually - I bet some chap is sitting in the BBC Two room frantically hitting his broadcast buttons on and wondering why they are being quickly turned off elsewhere. “Elsewhere” being in the BBC One room next door - by an equally confused chap.
Of course, they could both be of the female variety. It’s not as if there’s much work to be done in the kitchen at this hour, after all
And what’s this in the bin?
Thursday, August 25th, 2005 at 12:39 pmMy hair! My hair is in the bin.
Yes, as much as I loved being a Wookiee, I’ve had my hair cut. And VERY short at that.
I have ears again.
Fresh fanny

Push the little red button
Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005 at 6:09 pmThe Beeb are airing an interactive episode of Casualty at Holby City this week - where you the viewer can decide which of two minor characters gets an organ transplant.
How does the interactivity of the episode enhance the storyline? All they’re going to do is push a button at BBC Broadcast Centre that plays the pre-recorded winning choice.
Yes, it’s a nice idea. But the interactivity would be far better suited to something else. Or… they could cleverly film alternate scenes for use throughout the whole episode and have audiences choose the next scene every ten minutes. You know, similar to one of those adventure gamebooks: “To look in the chest go to page 18″ sort of thing. That’d be great.
Cell inspection in ten minutes
Monday, August 22nd, 2005 at 7:39 pm“Full episodes of cult TV sci-fi show Red Dwarf are being made available for fans to buy and watch on their mobile phone handsets.” - BBCi
Why on Io would anyone want to watch anything on such a piddly little screen? The same goes for those new UMD videos for that portable Playstation console. It all seems a complete waste of time and money to me.
This has decided it by the way - I’m going to relaunch my Red Dwarf site again. And this time as a blog so I can update it on the move.
Keep it under your hats.
Poofter, eh?
Sunday, August 21st, 2005 at 4:13 pmBrowsing through various videos at a collector’s fair, one trader pointed out that The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert may be of interest to me - claiming that it has “a big gay following”.
What the hell did he mean by that?
