“Jimmy Carr” sounds a bit like “Jamaica”.

I’ve just spotted that Genesis of the Daleks is due for release on shiny disc in April. Now, I know that I’ve not been into Doctor Who for all that long, but this is undoubtedly my favourite serial of the classic series. And that’s got nothing to do with it being the first of the classic series I saw; it really is a brilliant story. And I’ve watched enough classic episodes now (over twenty five) to fairly say that it’s Doctor Who at its best.

I don’t know why the video on this page amuses me as much as it does; I’m not a massive fan of The Simpsons - a casual viewer at best. But I really like it. I suppose it’s because you can see the effort, the love that’s gone into it. Or something.

Visiting a graphic design company, a high-speed video & film motion control company and BSkyB has been the order of the day. Most excitingly, I found myself in the Sky News studio - right next to a live newscast. Never before has it been such an effort not to impulsively make “meh!” noises at the top of my voice.

And yes, that is my hand.

I stayed at Elliot S’ last night and didn’t get to bed until gone 5:00 AM. Miraculously, I was home this morning BEFORE I’d usually even get out of bed to go to Racodac - despite a bus diversion on the way back.

I’ll definitely be feeling the effects of that one by mid-next week.

I got up early and went to Racodac *just* to drop by the employability department. But it was shut because broadcast students were filming in the corridor. This did not please me in the slightest.

I am, however, the graphic & visual effects designer for a science fiction / fantasy / drama pilot television programme called FutureShock. Hurrah!
